Review on HunterBee Jewelry Loupe Sewing Magnifying by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Much better than my old ones.

This is a very durable product. Haven't dropped it yet (knockstick) but it feels a little better than my old one. The headband adjustment is very well done. A lock and unlock option makes setup super easy and can help you keep your desired width in place. The back of the bandage catches in my hair and pulls when I try to remove it. It's happened to me a couple of times, but I'll have to get used to it. I like the brightness of the headlights. Didn't realize you could flip it up and down, but it seems more durable than the one I've used before. The right and left adjustment is very smooth, but I think the manufacturer forgot to insert a part so that it can point in the desired direction (right or left). [Watch Video] The battery does not hold a charge well. The old one I used worked for a long time (even if left for a few hours). but this one only seems to have charged for about 2 or 3 days and I have to charge it again. After using the second week I only used the lamp when I really needed it so it could last longer (about a week this time) and I just charged it over the weekend. Maybe I'll swap out the battery for a better one. The ability to switch lenses (unlike my last one) is great. I can increase the magnification simply by swapping them. I would like Revain to sell a lens case kit (and a small accessory lens if possible) but that might be too expensive for them. The lens orbit (lens clamps), I think that's what they call it, has a little problem. The lenses don't seem to snap (but are held) and it seems like they might pop out if you're not careful. Despite all that, after just over 2 weeks of use, they are much better than my older model and I really like them.

Pros
  • (3.) Adjustable to wear: soft elastic headband, two left and right handles, counterclockwise rotation to loosen the lighting frame from the headband, freely adjust the whole lighting frame up and down to your desired angle. The end button adjusts the headband to fit different head circumferences, pull outward and rotate left or right to get the correct head circumference, and then press to lock.
Cons
  • Obsolete

Easy to use and really saves my eyes when working on smaller projects.
