Let me tell you about the cameras. “The main triple camera”, as smart manufacturers call this chimera, the Samsung A50 shoots so-so. Why did they put matrices with so many pixels in there, and what are these pixels doing during shooting? It's simple: marketers just know that you like to have more, my friend. The camera takes landscape and portrait shots quickly, it starts to get stupid when trying to catch small moving objects (try to catch a bumblebee darting from flower to flower, for example). Samsung proudly writes about the "artificial intelligence" in charge of photography on the A50. For the first few days, this Korean “anti-lecht” desperately lied and mowed: the grass seemed to him not green enough, and all the roses, although in my city there is a trend for blue-violet flowers, he smeared it with scarlet or glamorous, pig-pink paint. A week later, AI changed its mind (it evolved, or what?), But the detailing remained lousy: a lot of “soap”. The live focus feature is hell: the best way to screw up a shot is to turn it on. In short, it’s not worth taking the A50 for the sake of the camera, Xiaomi can do better for the same money, they say.
Face and finger recognition. Oh everything! My A50 recognizes my finger every third time, and about the appearance, it is sometimes rude at all: “The face was not detected.” Come on?! Samsung, tell your text writers that it would be more polite: “not recognized” - otherwise it’s a shame right away that you shaved, washed and combed your hair in vain. :D I note, however, that the phone always recognizes my friend's fingers and without errors, Max himself modestly believes that this is because he has beautiful prints.
Bottom line: the phone is not bad, but it can be (and will be!) A problem for people who are sensitive to PWM. Watch your eyes, boys and girls! The price for it is also too high, IMHO, if you look at the competitors. Fifteen on a market day - the ceiling!
P. S. I would be happy with the purchase if I could use it longer to read and watch videos (Samsung, well, do something with PWM!). Today I thought about reselling, to be honest.

Pros

I must say right away that everything that falls under the heading of “dignity” will turn out to be in shortcomings. 1. The phone fits well in the hand (it turned out to be only slightly larger than my old 5'' Nokia due to a different aspect ratio and inconspicuous frames), the body looks nice, I have a blue back, complex rainbow effects, like on the A70, on the blue A50 no, just bright plastic, but some dull refraction effect is observed there, almost reached the Chinese. You still have to take some cover right away, see disadvantages. 2. The screen is large, bright, its color gamut is kind of frenzied, perhaps, because of the sAMOLED display and took this device, the richness of colors hit the emotions. %) And the same display turned out to be the most monstrous shortcoming of the device for me personally, alas. 3. The Samsung shell is not perfect, but pleasant, does not interfere with life. All these endless back and forth synchronization between Samsung and Google services in the early days made me a little tired, now everything is ok. The phone works fast, sometimes even too fast for me. Slow down buddy, before I even realized I clicked on a recommended YouTube video and you're already playing it! :D True, I do not play games on the phone, I can not say anything about this. 4. The selfie camera is pleasant, the face clicks nicely, although the device at the lens is the most primitive: the multi-pixel nature dragged. I won’t show pictures from her, no one wants deanon. Will you take a word? But about the main cameras and their AI, although they are not bad, I will unsubscribe in the comments.

1. The back is made of indecently cheap plastic, even the Chinese are already embarrassed to do this: you can scratch it with the power of thought, if you try, I'm sure. Your fingers for this material is a death sentence. I had to buy a hard Samsung Gradation Cover, a branded accessory cost me 1690 in Sevastopol (this is for a piece of plastic! Samsung, have mercy!), It is thin, does not disfigure the design of the device, but, on the contrary, complements it, as it is made of glossy , transparent polycarbonate with a lilac gradient, the plastic becomes completely colorless towards the top, so my A50 now shimmers in blue-violet (see photo; there are two more color options, if anything: with a black and pink tint). It turned out beautifully, I won’t say anything: almost Huawei, haha. The Araree silicone case was not much cheaper, consider these expenses when buying the A50 in advance. And for a simple case-book, Samsung is already asking for the monthly budget of the sovereign Zhabostan, without embarrassment. Our sellers of Chinese noname-covers, however, also do not lag behind and break 700 for some penny garbage. But I'm just being greedy when it comes to extra bells and whistles, okay. AliExpress, thank you! 2. Harmful screen! To control the brightness of the sAMOLED display, Samsung uses PWM with a low frequency (apparently <240Hz?), with this technique the company achieves stable color reproduction and hides the visual flaws of OLED. I did not expect such a setup (because it's 2022, flicker-free devices are everywhere). You won’t notice PWM with the naked eye, but your vision will still suffer, no doubt. Google details: why pulse-width modulation PWM is such a headache. I wrote to Samsung Members, waiting for their response regarding the OLED Saver application (from the play store), which solves the problem: will it damage the screen? After 10 minutes of reading, I really get sick, to the point of nausea. And you won't return! These are the pies. 3. It seems that the battery is large, the power consumption is optimized, but the charge is still enough for a couple of days.
