Does what I needed (with a little improvement)
I bought this to work as a squirrel deflector and to catch seeds that birds drop. He does both of these jobs. The only problem is the rain. Although there are tiny holes for drainage, the seeds will clog the holes and cause water to pool. So I put a layer of stiff wire mesh on the underside. This will hold the seeds up and allow the water to drain.
