I wanted soft light and this is exactly what I needed. I was mainly concerned about the size of the connectors as I had to thread them through rather small pre-existing holes. It didn't bother me at all. These connectors are actually 1/4 inch at their largest point (see image). I got so many different answers when I asked this question. If you are looking for a chained lighting system, this is not for you. It has connectors on a Y branch, each supporting three. This worked for me as the wiring is well hidden on top of the furniture. This just forced me to use a small extension which I will need anyway as the furniture is 7ft tall. I had no problems with the wiring at all. The installation only takes a few minutes. The glue is pretty strong. Guidewires are helpful. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy and inexpensive installation in furniture. I'm not sure about the base cabinet in the kitchen. This should probably be wired in series. I am happy with the purchase.
