Review on Enhance Your Fish Tank with NICREW Submersible LED Aquarium Light: Hidden White and Blue Light Stick, 13.8-inch, 8 W by Sherri Lee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good bright light for a blackwater aquarium.

Bought a 13.8 (8W) lamp for a 10 gallon aquarium. I'm happy with that. Brighter than the LEDs that come with the Topfin tank and really make a difference in my blackwater setup. The tannins of various tree stumps and the leaves of almonds and catalpas added from India, which turn the water brown, made it difficult to observe the fish I caught. Even though I knew it was in the setup, I still wanted something bright to show off my betta's colors. This one does. I used silicone to stick the gas cap on instead of submerging it in water. I don't have the "excessive brightness" issues that others have mentioned - again, the tannin could have something to do with it. well built with good/long cord. The white and blue LEDs are either both on or both off. The power switch is located quite far from the light source. others have expressed dislike about it, but it fits my exit with no personal issues.

Pros
  • Easy to use
