You need a fully enclosed motor for use in stables and other places where dust can collect in the motor causing overheating and failure may result. Fire. These fans have fully enclosed motors. you go cool. They move a lot of air. I have two per booth. They aren't that loud considering how much air they move. Horses have learned that if bitten by a horsefly they can crash into a stall and be blown off by a fan.
