I bought this machine because I have used several steam machines from various companies in the past. None of them really last long, but I like the feature of steam cleaning. This one caught my attention because it had a locking mechanism on the trigger to keep the steam on. The older I get the harder it is to hold a trigger on. I have used this product only four or five times, two of those time using the locking mechanism on the handle. The first time I used it I thought I kept hitting the button and unlocking it from the on position, but after consciously watching my hand position while using it the second time to clean our tile floor, it is definitely the locking mechanism itself that is flawed. It appears it loosens up and unlocks with the back and forth movement of the arm itself while cleaning the floor. I wish I had known this earlier to return the item. I have only had it since April 2, 2018 and, unfortunately, haven't used it often. While it does give off steam, which I really like, the power of the steam stream does come and go a little, but works better than a few others I have bought. One thing I noticed is the hose itself gets very hot. It is more narrow in diameter than others I have used. The narrow hose is a nice feature as it is more flexible and makes it easier to move around. I do like the handle on the hose, as it is also smaller in diameter and is easier to hold. This feature is more comfortable in my hand. If the trigger locking mechanism worked, I would rate this product higher. But because it doesn't work, I don't feel I can.
