- The first timer I ordered had no problems everything was fine. - I ended up ordering another one for another child but it arrived with a defective battery compartment. Hence the -1 star. - A replacement was ordered and it arrived working. Customer service was excellent and a replacement was shipped very quickly. For me this is a great service! First impression is that my kids love the light when the countdown is on and they enjoy the sound. While playing I have them pause the potty break timer and then resume when they return to the game. I think it's colorful enough to also use for school or anything else you want to set a specific time for. It's not pocket-sized like a phone, but it's definitely handy to have at home. It beeps when you change the timer/time. There is no ordinary clock on it as it is just a timer. It's very light, a bit thick, but no problem to carry with kids. This is a lovely kids timer that is easy to change when needed. It doesn't seem to automatically adjust half the time until the color turns yellow, and I'm sure there's a reason for that. I just change the alarm to half of what I set. The main thing I thought was that kids love the timer. They are also better at following directions with lights and sounds than just telling them. In general, this is a good timer for little ones.
