First, I've been installing satellite dishes, large and small, since 1984 when they took over the market. I have at least 200 or so small panels installed. The only reason I bought this meter is because my Birddog Ultra battery died. Nobody finds a replacement. If you know any, please let me know. So I bought 2 cheaper gauges/viewfinders including this one in the range. Thought one would work. But no! None of them gave me signal fluctuations during installation. Chinese trash! I ended up using a $4 built-in flow meter that I got in a kit about 15 years ago. It's also a garbage counter, but it works enough to give you a reading. The satellite industry is doing badly. Technical support is bad. Companies are still selling the Birddog Ultra without the option to replace the batteries at an inflated price. Can't get good customer support! How are you going to call for help when there's no reception? Lots of crap and they sell crappy instruments.
