I got kind of an apprehensive feeling about these solder-seal connectors from Ti-Conn. I just got them a few days ago.FIRST USE: The solder ring doesn't look very melted around my wires. They are held together in contact, and verified for continuity with a meter, but they don't look quite right. And I applied WAY more heat than I normally would, approaching a minute with a TackLife 660° heat gun. The plastic didn't melt away leaving any holes, so that's a plus. It must be some hellacious heat-shrink tubing. The adhesive is well melted, and glued to the insulation.I made this connection as a subwoofer splitter cable to drive (2) 8 ohm subs in parallel off of 1 amp connection, resulting in 4ohms.I guess I'll giv'em 4 stars for now, and will update in the future. Minus the 1 star for "I just don't know yet."GOOD DAY.
