Purchased for installation on my 2008 Expedition. Two problems immediately arose after installation. First, the brakes went straight to the ground. Second, the low brake fluid warning light on the dash was on even though the fluid was full. The float inside wasn't tight, it was a faulty sensor. As a self-proclaimed shade tree mechanic, I've already installed master cylinders and have all the necessary tools. It was properly bled on the workbench and the system, including the ABS, was bled with a scan tool after installation to ensure there was no air in the system. After checking and rechecking that everything was installed properly and securely, it was determined that the master cylinder was defective. Luckily I was able to find a different master cylinder at my local auto parts store and rebuild my car's brakes. I usually only buy OEM parts and have tried Cardone. I will not buy their products again in the future. I bought this part after the return period, so I didn't pay the cost of the part, three bottles of Lucas Oil brake fluid at $10 a bottle, and a few hours of my time. The fact that both the sensor and the master brake cylinder were defective speaks for their quality and poor quality control.
