I used this to fit and retrofit a radio on my 2011 VW Tiguan. I also had an issue where the stereo was on all the time. The wire harness works well for connecting speakers, ground, and 12 volts DC, but not so well for connecting lights and accessories. On my Tiguan, the car wiring harness does not contain an auxiliary wire or a lighting connector. The red and yellow wires are constantly hot so I had to hook up additional hardware from somewhere else in the car. For the lighting I would have to do the same. I really don't blame this wiring harness but how VW wires their radios. My new radio works, but I may need to go back and complete the installation.
