Egg Boiler Genius

I bought this brilliant little egg boiler because I love hard boiled eggs and am tired of watching water cook my forgotten eggs on the stove. . I didn't know if this little egg cooker would work or not but I figured why don't you try it? Well, was I surprised at how great it works? If I could, I would bet ten. When I first unpacked it, I thought how small it looked. It's small because it doesn't need to be bigger to make perfect hard, soft, poached, and boiled eggs. It's the size of a big melon. It takes up almost no counter or kitchen cabinet space. If you follow the instructions below, you will always have perfect eggs. For soft, medium, or hard-boiled eggs: I like to cook a maximum of (6) eggs at a time and store them in the fridge until needed. It doesn't matter if you're cooking a smaller batch, the instructions are the same. First, take the provided plastic measuring cup and fill it to the correct mark on the cup for soft, medium or hard-boiled eggs and pour the water onto the heating plate. Take the included egg holder with lifting bar attached and place it on the hotplate. The next step is the most important of all if you want perfect eggs every time. Take the egg out of the box and look for the BIG END (usually eggs are placed in the box big end up), but I've found that this isn't always the case. Once you've determined which end is larger, take the provided plastic measuring cup and turn it upside down. Remove the lid that hides the pin you will need to pierce each egg from the (TOP) larger end before placing it in the holder. It's very easy to poke a hole in the center of the top of the egg. The hole does not have to be exactly centered. Then place each pierced egg UP OR SIDE UP. If you put the pierced side down, the eggs won't cook properly and may leak and leave a mess on the hotplate that you'll have to clean up. Close the lid and press the timer button. When I bought my stove no one told me it had a built in timer that would automatically turn it off after all the water had boiled away, but it does. That means you don't have to stand there and look at it. What a bonus for me! While the eggs are cooking, don't do what I did and don't put your hand over the steam vent in the lid. If you do this, you will burn your life. I am serious! After the eggs are gone, I like to leave them in the oven for a few more minutes until they cool, to make sure they're really hard-boiled. You can take them out sooner if you prefer hard boiled eggs. After you finish cooking the eggs, no matter how they were cooked, you will notice a brown residue on your cooktop. After the device has cooled down, I like to use a cleaning sponge with white vinegar and it cleans immediately. The only advice I'll give you for poached or scrambled eggs is to grease a plastic pan with olive or vegetable oil. If you do this, the eggs will fall right out of the plate after cooking. Remember to only fill the plastic cup to the center line. Enjoy eggs. last observation. I've been using my fantastic egg cooker for a couple of months now and have noticed that the hard, medium and soft markings painted on the side of the cute little mug that comes with it are starting to wear off. If you don't want to guess where the mark was, do like me, get some really good quality clear tape and cover the mark to keep it from permanently disappearing.
