When I found that my old Dritz cutter could not be repaired, I went in search of a new one. I read dozens of reviews and was impressed by the good reviews for this cutter, especially since some of them specifically mentioned that it's gentle on arthritic hands, which is a concern for me. Well I've been using it for a while and I love it! It closes like butter through multiple layers of fabric. I have used it to cut pieces of quilts, masks and pillowcases and the blade still cuts like new. I find the grip very comfortable and it doesn't require excessive pressure. The locking button is very convenient and it didn't take me long to get used to pressing it when I wasn't actively cutting. Last but not least, the price was great - a lot less than big brands and with two extra blades it was a real steal. I felt like I took a risk with the purchase but I am very glad I did and very happy with my purchase.
