I like this article very much. We used it in the center of a 10ft long x 3cm thick quartz countertop/cabinets standing against a wall in our dining room. We used a hidden extension cord so we didn't have to place outlets above the countertop. All requirements were thus fully met. The unit is a little smaller than I expected with an extended extension piece that is only about 6 inches long but still has 4 outlets. It folds up nicely when not in use. Everything worked as expected. You can see a green "Protection" indicator when the extension is renewed. 2 USB ports for charging (2 amps) are a nice feature. Some have complained that the device doesn't fit snugly. I do not agree. Just don't cut the hole and you'll be fine. The compression clips are small but work great to secure the device in place. If necessary, the pins can be unscrewed slightly with pliers to ensure a tighter fit. The plug cable is strong and durable. The only difference from the Revain photos is that the device isn't lifted, rotated 90 degrees, and then folded. It can be easily pulled up and folded 90 degrees to the right.
