Review on 📡 Escort Radar Detectors Mirror Mount Bracket - Compatible with Escort 9500ix, 8500x50, Solo S3, Redline (3001001) by Jay Maryland

I mounted a Beltronics 955 on my Porsche 911 (991) with the PerformancePackage mirror holder. The mount looks a lot better than the suction cups and as an added benefit allows you to route the radar detector cable a little more discreetly. My only issue with the mount is that despite the "rattle detector clamp", it makes a slight rumble when going over rough roads. I've also noticed that the bracket loosens a bit over time and needs to be tightened. In addition, the rearview mirror mount has no seals, which means the rearview mirror post will scratch over time. I looked at the Blendmount which is 2-3x the price of this mount although I think it's a great mount for the price if I had to do it again I would buy the Blendmount. Update 10/05/2016: I was able to fix the rattling problem. The anti-rattle clamp had a very small gap between it and the detector, which caused me to hear a slight rattling noise. To solve this problem I used pliers and squeezed the clip, it was a bit difficult to put it back on the detector but after that the rattling was gone. I still wish the part that attaches to the rearview mirror post was some sort of spacer, but for the price it's not a bad product.
