You used it for exactly one year and the lock broke, the door is locked and cannot be opened with a key
This lock is not durable. We bought it exactly a year ago and this lock has lasted just as long. This morning I thought my wife was locking me in our house as I walked into our backyard. It turns out the lock looks good but was unknowingly broken. The door handle would still turn, but the lock would not open when I turned the handle. Worse, I had the key with me and the key didn't work! Just save $20 and get a real lock. Luckily my wife was home so she heard me knock on the door to let me back inside. It's time to buy a real lock.
