Water balloons can be dangerous if swallowed although they are non-toxic. My daughter even managed to swallow with my supervision. Luckily, this manufacturer sells water balloons that don't expand enough to get stuck in the intestines. They are smaller than marble when fully expanded. While children should still not be eating them, if your child manages to get a few in their mouth, as was the case with me, they are not in immediate danger. However, my daughter loves them. Small things have a big impact. We've filled three large baskets and distributed some, and we haven't used up a quarter of the container yet. I would buy them again.
