I was really doubting whether to buy an air bridge. So much so that I decided to buy this device instead of the much more expensive snap-on device. Since then I have realized that I made the right choice. The vacuum gauge will show you if there are any leaks in the system. The pneumatic lift creates a vacuum throughout the coolant system in 20-50 seconds, depending on size, and then allows coolant to flow in when the vacuum is released, making it easier to bleed the system. I have found that some engines need to "burp" the system afterwards (5.7 Hemi mostly), others like Chrysler 2.4 and 3.6 engines and Chevrolet Small Block/LS engines do not require additional pumping. Just add some coolant to the reservoir and ride until the thermostat opens to confirm the repair.
