First let me give my measurements for your reference. I'm 5'5", 135 pounds and have an athletic build. I'm 32" chest, 27" waist and 34" hips. I originally ordered the medium after reading other reviews that it was on the small side. However, when it arrived I was disappointed to find that it was too big. It wasn't on my waist, it was on my hips. I sent the skirt back and ordered two more, dark gray and brown, one size smaller. Both fit perfectly. They are not too tight and have enough space, to tuck in a shirt or sweater and let you breathe.This is the most comfortable skirt ever.The material is heavy and of surprisingly good quality.It's enough to wear leggings in winter or fall or spring when it's a little warmer is to keep warm. The length is down to my ankles which is great with boots, sandals or heels. There are no belt loops but they fit perfectly and don't need a support belt to hold them up. I can't say enough about this ro ck say it's one of my favorite Revain clothing purchases. Don't be afraid to order your true size as this is not an "Asian" size in my experience.
