Review on REOLINK RLC-520 Outdoor 5MP PoE IP Camera: High-Definition Video Surveillance for Smart Homes, with 100ft IR Night Vision, Motion Detection, and Micro SD Card Support (up to 128GB, card not included) by Eric Pruett

I added this new camera to my 12 camera setup running Blue Iris NVR software on a large Dell server monitoring multiple corners/doors in multiple buildings on my property. The rest are 6-8 year old Dlink 720p bullet cameras that I paid $300 each for. I upgraded one of the Dlinks and added this dome camera as a new setup because I wanted to be able to see the cameras at a much higher resolution so I can recognize faces, read license plates from a distance, and other details that it is / was not possible with old 720p cameras. Skeptical due to the very low price, I just ordered two of these, a dome model, another model of the RLC-410-5MP barrel-chambered version that appears to have the same guts in a different packaging. Very easy to install. I had already hardwired PoE Ethernet to these cameras (and dozens of others), so it was literally "plug and play". I changed the IP from DHCP to a hardcoded IP so the Blue Iris DVR software knows where to find it. Since I already had the cables, this setup took less than 10 minutes, including changing the IP address and adding it to my NVR software. The porch footage in this test is from this dome camera. I can't speak to any software features as I'm using advanced third-party NVR software, but the video quality is top-notch, easily delivering 25fps at full 2560x1920 resolution, with plenty of max bitrate options. The speed can reach 8192kbps, I set it to 6144kbps, the video is smooth and the quality is crystal clear. I'm replacing the other 12 with these and maybe adding a few extra cameras, but early results show these are amazing cameras at all costs, especially those under $100 a piece.
