Before buying a Pixel, I read about all the advantages and disadvantages of this device. Many wrote that the problem is in the speakers, they break. So it is, I also had a lower speaker, it works but very badly. And I think the problem is that along with the charger (I have a European plug) there is a cheap adapter, sometimes it closes (sparks), perhaps this is the reason for problems with the speaker. Buy normal adapters.
