I recently purchased several USB 3.1 docking stations from Amazon: two of this model, a BlacX model and a couple of replacement devices. All three devices run on tested drives up to 8.0 TB. I like the BlacX device best. The cheapest refills are on the back for easier access to the switches, and the lack of an assistive eject button irritates arthritic hands. The Star Tech block is by far the most difficult to insert and lock the disc into place. I usually have to play with it and I'm afraid of damaging the connectors on the discs I put in. I believe its realistic insertion cycle rating is much lower than the other two blocks.
