EDIT: After some use I found that the card doesn't wake up from hibernation. It doesn't see anything connected to the port until you disable/enable the card in Device Manager or restart your computer. Extremely annoying! Used this to connect my new case's USB-C front panel to an old motherboard. It works fine for data, but I wouldn't trust it for charging. There's no dedicated power supply connector, so it just plugs straight into the PCI-E slot - I'm afraid plugging in a high power device will fry the motherboard.
