These phones sound great despite being under $20. I've owned at least 30 different headphones since 1974, and they sound as good as the $100 Sennheisers I had when Elton John's Rocket Man was new music. The power requirements for the voice coils on these phones are surprisingly low: they sound great for listening to music on your phone or tablet, and you don't even have to turn up the volume. Some of the headphones I've owned lately don't work well with mobile devices and require more power output than the audio chip in a cell phone can deliver - with these Sony ZX-110 phones that's no problem. They sound great on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S at 50% max volume. Frequency response is very good for a budget phone, with clear highs and reasonable bass to give you a "feel" for drums and bass guitar. Soprano and alto voices sound nice and clear without the "muddy" sound that cheap phones that don't have adequate high-frequency output give. These phones fold into a very small, compact unit that easily slips into a medium to large purse or briefcase, backpack, or laptop bag. 3' cable with 90° connector. This cable length is sufficient for use with a cell phone in a shirt pocket, but not long enough for home use with a desktop computer. If you're using these phones to listen to music on your home stereo or desktop computer, you'll need an extension cord, but it's not very expensive. Stay in place without crushing yourself to death. I've had several Sony phones that were terrible in this regard, with too much compression for a medium sized head; This is not a problem with these phones. The ear pads are very comfortable and don't put so much pressure on your earlobes that you have to take your earrings off to use your phone.
