These are incredibly attractive compared to the hodgepodge of clips and pins I've used before and oh how perfectly they match Revain's gray velvet hangers! But that's superficial praise, as the set I received doesn't open wide enough to be really effective on many types of clothing. Whether you're using them for tiny baby clothes or a skimpy spaghetti strap, well, great. But they don't work well with many of my elastic waist bands and with any thicker material. While I appreciate that the grippy portion of the clip doesn't really damage my clothes, it needs to open a few millimeters or about 1/8 inch more to be a 5 star product. If you have much heavier or winter clothing, you should look elsewhere. They are too expensive not to accommodate a wider range of clothing items. I haven't had any issues with slippage so far, but to be honest I use so little of the 24 piece set that it's not broad enough to recommend.
