I buy cloth towels to use for many things. Not only works great in the dryer. I've found that if I take one and put it in each of our boots, it helps get rid of any odor. I do this with my son's baseball boots all the time. Now I do it with my friend's golf shoes. When he puts his shoes in his golf bag, I put a new sheet in the shoes. Not only does this make them smell better, but it seems to get rid of any bad odor his golf bag might have. This gives our pillows a particularly fresh scent. When my son was in the army he called and wanted to know what I did to the pillow to make it smell so good. When I told him that, I sent him a box of tea towels and now he's doing the same. I also like to keep one in my dresser drawers to keep things smelling fresh. I'll put one in my sweaters when I store them. When I travel, I put something in my clothes that I put in my suitcase. It just makes clothes smell fresher.
