I only gave this one 4 stars because it came with no instructions and the pins were labeled COM, NO and NC but the datasheet I found via the link in found the questions mentioned. to pins 1 through 5. I'm sure an electrician would have figured that out right away, but it might be easier for a simple consumer like me. However, it works great. The secret is to power/hot signal the COM port and then connect it to the device you want to carry and then the other wire of the device with NO (normally open/no power) or NC ( normally closed/power) depending on how you want to see the state of the switch with no power. The other two pins (1 and 5) feed - only - the switch which closes NO and energizes or opens NC and de-energizes when the switch is energized. I used it to turn on the daylight sensor to turn it on in daylight and turn it off in the dark by connecting it to pin 1. Hth.
