So I buy an "UPDATE" and it breaks. I showed you the photos. What you don't see in the photos is a very smooth surface at the break with very rough edges. This tells me that the injection molding was not completed properly. I understand that this can happen 1 in 1000. What I don't understand is the RUST on the washer and bolt. The part is exposed to an extreme environment with cleaning agents and the metal parts are used to prevent rusting. Guys, how good can quality control be when this happens? I bought at least 4 upgraded devices and 3 or 4 old devices. The development of KitchenAid did not impress from the start. The shelving system is awful, reeks of cost savings and just is NOT up to the task. I will take the problem to the CNC shop and permanently fix it myself.
