Review on Needle Felting Kit, Animals Needle Felting Set, DIY Wool Felt Materials Set With Felting Tool And Instruction For Needle Felting Craft Project And DIY Handmade by Erica Clay

I decided I wanted to try something new and ordered This Cat, Needle felting kit. The kit includes the wool, eyes, black whiskers (it feels like fishing line) a key ring with a short chain and a little metal open circle. There are two sizes of felting needles included, 2 of each size. There is also a 9 needle in the kit. The nine needle I received appears to be damaged. It is bent near the pointy end. I thought it was just curved, but the product page shows a straight 9 needle. There are directions included but they are not really clear. There is also a QR code for a You Tube video but that doesn’t really tell you much either. Neither the included instruction or the YouTube video show you how to attached the key ring. And I have no idea what the 9 needle is for. I did find a few You Tube tutorials on needle felting and that gave me an idea of what I was supposed to do.If you have not heard of needle felting or you have never done needle felting, it is basically stabbing wool fiber with a barbed needle repeatedly until all of the fibers join together, the finished project is supposed to look like it’s made of felt. My cat did not look lit it was made of felt. I am not sure what it looked like. But this was also the first time I have tried needle felting. The eyes on my cat keep coming out so I finally made my own eyes using some of the wool fiber and a black sharpie. It’s not the greatest but at least my cat has eyes. I did not t use all of the wool that came in the kit, I only used half when making my cat, so there may be enough to make another cat if I want too. I am not sure if needle felting is something I want to pick up as a hobby. I am glad that I gave it a try though.p.s. I do not recommend this craft for young children. The needles are very sharp. And it is easy to stick yourself.
