I don't know why manufacturers among other things keep making new proprietary connectors, especially when the old tried and true connector was perfect, but here we are and Chrysler did just that with the antenna connector for 2005. Dodge neon. This adapter does an excellent job of marrying reliable, interoperable, and sensible existing and industry-standard technologies with senseless, restrictive, and usually ill-conceived misunderstandings of business. I really hope Metra didn't have to pay royalties to make this useful piece.
