I've taken this on several overnight backpacking trips and use it for three purposes. get up when I'm already tired and at high altitude. Works well although the small adapter falls off easily requiring a sit and hold. But it only lasts about 30 seconds, so it's not a big problem. Second, it's great for starting a persistent campfire. It's a lot better than kneeling down and blowing on him. Third, when I'm not using it, I hang it in my tent and it lights up the tent perfectly. I'm not sure how long the battery will last as I've never run out of battery. . I've used it to inflate my pillow about 6 times, plus a few minutes for the fire and maybe 30 minutes for the lights; all with one load.
