Review on 🔍 Ridgid 36163 Model Micro CD-100: Advanced Combustible Gas Detector & Leak Detector by Ryan Lawrence

I have to share my amazing experience. Our bathroom in our basement smelled strange for a long time. I thought it might be gas but the basement generally smells like mold so I wasn't sure. I recently decided to buy this gas analyzer. Turn it on and let it calibrate. Then I went to our basement. A 40ppm gas was found near the closed bathroom door! I opened the door, went into the bathroom and the sensor started to go up to 160ppm. I walked around the bathroom and other rooms and of course the concentration was higher where the gas meter was. Low concentrations were found in all other suspicious places and pipes, for example directly in front of the bathroom door. Then I took my wife's Windex and started spraying it on and around the gas meter. Surprisingly, a huge bubble formed under the nut at one point! I brought a ridgid monitor to this place and what do you know? >640 ppm at this location. 640 is the maximum in high sensitivity mode. I had to try the low sensitivity mode to see how much more it is 640. I took my tools, tightened the nut and the bubbles stopped. Shortly thereafter, the monitor read 80ppm there, as it did in the rest of the bathroom. I bet the smell of gas will be gone by tomorrow. [To update. The next morning there is no smell of gas and the gas sensor does not register]
