It seems odd that this is called a spice rack as there is enough space on each shelf for a large 15 ounce jar (see attached photo). If you were to use this for spice jars, a lot of space would be wasted. It's very easy to remove or place cans on any of the levels without touching other cans. I used to use one of those "can organizers" where you keep the cans on the side and it was awful, you could only see the cans that were on the front and everything else was a mystery. Now with them I can quickly and easily see what we have in the pantry. They are strong and won't bend even when loaded with heavy cans. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.
