Review on Magnetic Stirrer Speedstir Start Up Batteries by Luis Tuazon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Accurate and charming to use, but a bit confusing in the instructions.

I thought it was a bit weak. No, that is not so. It's pretty intense. You have to unscrew the back to insert the batteries. When I put the batteries in for the first time, it didn't work at all. I had to remove the back panel a second time and make sure the batteries were securely in place. Then it worked. It's not very intuitive. There are two buttons. One button is for lighting in good light and the second for darker ones. There are six small LEDs at the base that light up when the second button is pressed. There are two ways to turn on the agitator: press the agitator button only, or press the agitator button and the LEDs on. I would think that one button would turn on the agitator and the other would turn on the LEDs that were on. Here, too, one button only switches on the stirrer. Another button turns on the stirrer and the LEDs light up. The instructions say to turn off the stirrer using the same button you used to turn it on. That is, if the Stirrer On button is on, the Stirrer On button is off. If you turn it on with the "agitator plus light" button, turn it off with the "agitator plus light" button. However, I have found that if the stirrer (with or without the light) is turned on with any button, any button can turn it off. This means that if you turn it on with the "mixer on" button, you can turn it off with the "mixer plus light" button and vice versa. I've always found hand mixing solutions difficult, this is a great and easy solution. It is much easier to add solutions to the tube with an automatic stirrer until the color changes. The color changes immediately. No need to stop and shake by hand and then keep adding drops.
