I have used this product for my stainless steel cookware for many years. It always does its job. Basically I need to clean up the baked grease and soot. This has never let me down though, if you want your dishes to always look great (I hang my dishes always visible) I suggest NOT waiting until you need to scrub the stains. Use it before blemishes and debris appear and your life is easy. I clean the bottom of my pots and pans after every other use and the fryer after every use. So it won't take much, if ever. Elbow grease to clean them.
