A budget class biological microscope but quite suitable for educational purposes and even for some less critical real biological work. It's certainly a lot better than most cheap educational microscopes or horrible toy microscopes. USB port etc. Stored files are fine but perfect focus would be easier with a little higher resolution on the display device. I like that the screen pen has a place to attach it on the top of the case. The overhead light is mostly useless, but it's rarely useful anyway. The backlash of the scene is a little annoying, but you get used to it. The focus vernier on my unit was tight, some comments didn't mention any sign of slippage, maybe even too tight, I suspect it can be adjusted but haven't tried it yet. I don't like the color balance options, especially when combined with the color filter wheel. Aperture options are fine, otherwise the condenser is not adjustable. I suspect it doesn't support modern higher capacity SD cards, but that's not a problem. I didn't try to use battery power or USB data transfer options. Carrying case and dust cover are actually quite good for the price, which I wasn't expecting at all. I have a much fancier real biological microscope, which is of course much better technically, but for a lot of things this range is big. Overall I'm glad I bought it, I can take it to the field and not worry if it breaks.
