This is a great heavy duty ramp that won't slip. I bought this for my paralyzed dog as he is partially mobile and likes to run around the house but he has trouble with the threshold leading from the yard to the house. It has French doors and I have one of those ramps in front of one of the doors. The only problem with it is the very strong rubber smell it gives off. Flies into the house. So I cut a piece of floor carpet (you can get leftovers from H. Depot) and wrapped it around it and didn't even tape it in place. It stays there as the ramp is heavy and will hold the rug in place. Carpet contains about 90% odor. I also like that this ramp is short and doesn't go too far into the yard so you don't have to go around it when walking on it. Oh, and my dog loves it too. :))
