The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 FX706HE-HX026T was a fantastic laptop overall, and I'm happy to report that there is also a HX026 assembly available, which is, in principle, a little cheaper and lacks an operating system. Five stars for general office use and light graphics work, four for gaming since there isn't enough RAM for the graphics card, but it can handle 20-21 year old projects and, in most cases, will run them at high or ultra settings. As the originals are already hard to come by, I advise replacing them with 2x16 of the same qualities RAM modules, such as the Kingston ValueRAM KVR32S22S8 / 8, which can run at 8GB in 2-channel mode with native support. If you follow the instructions, you can upgrade the RAM and solid-state drive (SSD) in your ASUS TUF Gaming laptop without voiding the warranty. The display was great, I received one free of dead pixels; the colors are just right for me; the in-game visuals are pleasing (albeit I output more to my TV through HDMI); and the photo quality is excellent. The laptop runs Windows and applications quite quickly, especially after additional Memory has been installed; nevertheless, even with the factory-installed 8GB of RAM, it was able to handle a respectable workload, including browsers with fewer than 100 tabs open. As I mentioned before, playing a video game is a slow process, but the sound of the system's fans during gameplay will require you to crank up the level to above 50% or use headphones. With the housekeepers on the machine only turned on for the remaining 15% of the capacity, the declared 7+ hours will likely come out if you work with them first. This is because the battery is actually with an increased capacity, [jnz tested without the game mode and the inclusion of economical things - 5+ hours. Case is quickly soiled, although fingerprints are hard to see on the keyboard (I learned this through tactile sensations) and easy to rub off. The keyboard's backlighting can be changed in terms of both the colors it displays and the speed with which they flash. Asus's default program for controlling laptop modes is solid, and the company's tech support team is responsive. The review needs more information.
