Okay I thought I needed a MIMO router so I decided to buy one to replace my very stable Dlink DIR-655. I have found that the router loses connection to my cable modem (Motorola SB6120 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0) almost once a week and the amber LED on the router lights up. I turn everything off and on (modem and router). I usually expect this to update the IP address and reconnect me to the internet. After doing this a few times, the router still didn't get an IP address and the yellow light stayed on; So I plugged the cable modem directly into the computer to make sure it worked. It works great (I ran ipconfig /renew from the command line and immediately got the Comcast IP). However, this router cannot obtain an IP address from the same modem/provider. It just doesn't seem to be getting an IP, but there's no way to force an IP update from the admin interface. The only way to finally get it working again was to completely reboot the router. Just updating the IP seems like overkill. This behavior occurs at least once a week and I've gotten to the point where I plan to just bring it back and get back to my DLink. It is not worth. :(Belkin, give us a way to force an IP update! I'm giving this one star because it's causing me so much grief.
