Revainrating 5 out of 5

A solid budget device, like the BL-70, but not perfect.

This projector is similar to the Vidoka BL-70 that I was looking at recently, so I'm going to compare both devices side by side. It's not exactly the same as the Vidoka BL 70. While the cases share some similarities, their design is different enough to easily tell the two models apart. In terms of brightness, the brightness of both the BL-69 and BL-70 are close enough to be subjective. I think BL-70 is a little brighter. However, this BL-69 appears to have slightly better grayscale and color reproduction. The differences are small enough to be easily compensated for through menu settings. It is possible that both projectors use the same lamp. In terms of performance, both projectors seem to be neck and neck and I suspect they share the same circuit board with the same software. The user interfaces are identical. The feature set is identical with the same ports in the same places. I tested both projectors side by side and ran them for about half an hour to measure their heat dissipation and both models performed well. This BL-69 ran neither colder nor hotter than the BL-70. They both felt a little warm, which is to be expected. Both have acceptable fan noise, but I think this BL-69 is a bit quieter. I rated the BL-70 4 stars and will give this BL-69 the same rating. It gets 4 stars for good optics, acceptable brightness, good aesthetics, and good overall performance.
