Review on Acer V277U: 2560X1440P FreeSync Monitor with Adaptive Sync and V7 Speakers by Michael Gilbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic monitor! - my new rating

I love this monitor, I have 2. I prefer 2k over 4k because 4k causes too much work in my daily work, 2k is perfect and you fit more than enough on 2 screens compared to HD. In terms of dynamics, yes. I didn't buy them for speakers, of course they're nice, but as others have said, they're basically useless. I see no need to give one star for this. I use them for work, not gaming, so I can't comment on their performance. I wouldn't expect them to do well in this category given the specs and that's not what they're sold for anyway. My only complaint is that the controls are on the back. My monitors are plugged into a smart socket so I can turn them off with my voice - they're set to remember the last setting so they'll turn on even after a power outage. If you have a dual screen setup like me, it's almost impossible to access the controls on the left screen. They were only supposed to place a small power button on the front, but I was aware of that when I bought it. Just do your research. I had a DoA but the company took care of it very quickly, no problem - leave the box! Today, monitors are MASSIVELY produced and stocked in hundreds of retail stores where they are stored for a very long time. Anything is possible, so keep that in mind before you reach into the crate with your chainsaw. I highly recommend this monitor, more companies should make 2k monitors, more docks and graphics cards that support two 2k instead of 4k. Sure you can tune 4k to 2k, but why pay the extra money when you won't be using it? If you're upgrading from HD and want to fit more on the screen for work purposes and have a sharper image, then get this!
