This stand is all metal except for the wheels and inserts which fit into a metal collar to accommodate tree feet. The six log clamps are also sturdy and are arranged on two levels, so you can be sure that the tree is level. One thing. The wheels don't roll when jammed, but they do slide a bit on smooth hardwood floors when leaning against a tree. But the tree stays stable when it's upright - and generally I like being able to adjust its position a bit without loosening the wheels. So for me it's all five stars. I am so happy and impressed with the quality.
