Cheaper than buying a new controller and well worth it.

UPDATE 7 days after review below: So it wasn't even a day after I posted my last review that this new stick started drifting all over again. This time to the right. I've disassembled/reassembled it 3 times and not sure what the problem is, other than possibly a faulty joystick. When I first replaced the original joystick, I noticed something that could be a real problem. When I removed the original joystick and placed it next to the replacement part, I noticed that the brown ribbon cables were slightly different. The original had a built in crease so it came out of the thumb well, folded down at about a 45 degree angle, and then lifted back up and aligned with the white connector. In the picture you can see that the spare part does not have such a crease on the ribbon cable (red arrow). It comes out of the silver tray and goes straight to the white connector (blue arrow). When you stick it in (yes, it's all the way in), it pulls on the ribbon cable. When I first replaced it, it flexed and touched the circuit board. I'm not sure if that caused the problem or not, but when I put it back in, it landed where it's flexing now. In any case, the lack of a bend creates tension on the ribbon cable. I'm not sure if all replacement parts have this design, but it looks significant enough to cause a problem in the long run. Again, I hate the idea of paying full price for a brand new Joycon when I can pay less than half for a replacement. On the other hand, it's almost like playing dice when buying another spare part. OR maybe I just received a defective part. The world may never know. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought a new left joycon after it kept drifting off on me. As soon as it arrived, the right joystick started doing the same and gradually got worse. I decided to try this replacement for the correct joycon as it was cheaper than buying an OTHER new joycon. Now I regret not doing it with the left. So far, so good. It's been several days. I'll try to remind myself to come back in 2-3 months to give an update, hopefully it lasts. Feels like the original except it feels too smooth and slips until you get used to it. However, it does not violate the terms of the contract. Pretty easy installation and lots of video tutorials on how to do it. Works great after installation. Be sure to recalibrate the joycon after installation. After the installation I was a bit scared. Either the vibrations moved it or I forgot to pull it all the way down, but make sure you secure the little black piece holding the joystick flex cable (you'll see this in the installation video). The stick started to drift again and I decided to open the joycon again. I noticed that the small black clip wasn't fully locked. I pressed it and the stick worked again without any problems. Ultimately, the purchase was worth it compared to buying another new joycon.
