I needed a controller that could control two batteries independently and this one seemed to have it. After reading the extensive online documentation, I was quickly convinced that this device was NOT Port Freight quality. Another good thing is that its bandwidth is double what I would ever need for three 100W solar panels, which means it should last for decades because it's never "hard work" or "full capacity will work". This, combined with the 5-year guarantee, made the risk a breeze. Before installing it in my RV I considered many options for wiring, switching etc. then sent a message to the engineering department for advice. The response was immediate, knowledgeable and thorough, which helped me better customize my furnishing project. Now it's been working for more than two weeks and does everything they promised. Solar power is the best thing that has ever happened to an RV on wheels and anyone who has ever relied on RV batteries knows how much work and money it takes when you don't have well organized battery maintenance. Batteries are "living things" and without proper care and nourishment they won't be there when you need them. This little gem takes care of her FOR you while you do other fun things. And with my 300 watt solar potential, I'll have no problem topping them up by living off the grid every day. Another footnote: although I've been involved with electrics/electronics my whole life, I'm more inclined to do silly things like Well I did it here too and I was in a hurry and swapped polarity when reconnecting the controller after deciding to mount it permanently. I have proven their reliability! After a short firework and then a proper connection, it was immediately fully functional again. That really is proof of idiocy, and I've proved it!
