Bought these for my 2008 Ford F150 crew. They fit well and this body style has the easiest installation (Type D, see the instructions and pictures). No adapters required. The rear two had to be mounted a little behind the end of the seat line, as recommended, since the cross members got in the way, but otherwise they fitted well. It took me about four hours to build the whole truck. A few notes. Don't worry about using the sheet metal screws that come with the hardware. It takes too much torque to push them in and the heads will come loose immediately. I went to Home Depot and got 8 #14 x 3/4" stainless steel hex nuts and used those instead. Replaced the regular bottom stud nuts with stainless steel nylock nuts so I don't have to worry about them loosening. Less than five bucks extra for everything. One more thing that is very important. Instructions regarding hole spacing wrong. They say it's 8 1/8" but it's actually 8 1/4". I drilled two sets of holes before I figured it out. The easiest way is to put the step on the bottom of the weld where you want it and mark the holes with a marker. I think they will really help my wife and mother-in-law to get on and off. Am They end up being about halfway from floor to cabin floor.In general I'm very happy.They would get five stars if the self-tapping screw was better thought out and the instructions correct.
