I may have received a defective case but I would not recommend this product. I bought it last July (7 months ago), installed it correctly as far as I can tell (no loose or loose anywhere) and after only 2 months it started cracking at the corners. Fast forward a few more months and you can see in the pictures just how bad it has gotten. For context, my laptop only moves from the table to the couch in my house, and I always place it very carefully since MacBooks are very expensive. He never leaves home, so there are no problems with his transportation. It is unacceptable to me that this case jumped so much just because I suspect the lid was lifted and closed. I like it different; The matte slightly translucent factor gives it a sea glass look which is really pretty. All fingerprints are visible from certain angles, but generally not too bad. Unfortunately the quality is simply lacking.
