Review on Samura Harakiri SHR-0250 set, 5 knives by Bogusia Gaworek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

The set's composition is not very strong. Three knives are used. Due to a thin blade, the larger one bends. Hence, the chief title has little pull. Bread is relatively simple to cut. The tiniest one isn't even a vegetable peeler; the handle-mounted blade's design causes cuts. The lens cannot be sharpened by you. Lenticular sharpenings are not something every sharpener will attempt. Musat will thus become your closest friend. Do I suggest purchasing? Yes, but only if: 1) No more than 750 knives per person 2) You are aware of where the lens will be sharpened. Alternately, you can regrind into a typical v-shaped shape, but doing so will reduce the sharpness and durability of the sharpening, diminishing your competitive advantages. 3) You don't find it embarrassing that a heavy knife will flex somewhat when used.

Pros
  • adequate cost (got for 3000). They keep honing for a very long period (the first one from the factory). Sharp (thanks to the fact that the blade is thin and the sharpening is lenticular, according to my measurements, no more than 15 degrees) (due to the fact that the blade is thin and the sharpening is lenticular, according to my measurements, no more than 15 degrees). After operating for 2.5 months, they have not yet requested sharpening. On the biggest knife, only Musat wrinkles were in charge a few times.
Cons
  • Knife handles don't have a high-quality sheen. The grips' design is not particularly pleasant. Several family members claim it damages his hand. On the larger knives, the blades' thinness and curvature might be a hassle. The sharpness is lenticular, which is the most intriguing feature (or convex, in another way). This implies that you can't manually sharpen them on a stone or on a home sharpener. Moreover, there will be significantly less sharpening if you simply sharpen as usual using a standard V-shaped sharpening. The shape of the blade of the smallest knife is such that if you try to peel a potato, for example, you will cut your hands. In an effort to grow accustomed to the knife, I twice cut my thumb. He spat and then picked up the old handmade knife. It will therefore be useless as a vegetable peeler.
