You can make this less likely by sliding them in and out a bit before installing them in your car for the first time. On the other hand, it has a working on/off switch, so there's a good case for keeping it in the lighter. Overall it has a good sound, like other modern versions without the bass button, the bass button adds some punch to the trunk without destroying the treble. Overall definitely worth the price of admission but I'm not holding my breath for long term living.
