Update 05/07/17: Cushion goes flat and doesn't really help with flat spots anymore. I turn my pillow over every day and it doesn't matter. My daughter slept too much on her back as a newborn and had a flat head that was more noticeable on the right side. Although our pediatrician wasn't overly concerned about our 8 week date and said it would get rounder with age, I was afraid it would get worse and I'd have to put a helmet on her. We decided to buy a Mimos pillow and have been using it for almost 2 months. Since then we have seen an apparent gradual improvement. The right side isn't as flat as it used to be and is slightly rounded. I'd say she still has a bit of a flat head, but it's more towards the middle now and I suspect it'll get better with time. We also allow her to spend less time lying on her back, more time on her stomach, and more time sitting. Now she is 4 months old. The Mimos pillow is breathable so we can let our daughter sleep on it all night. Every night we turn it to the other side so the pillow doesn't stand up. We also bought a pillowcase as my daughter sweats when she sleeps and I can just toss it in the laundry. The pillowcase fit is a bit of a pain as it needs to be adjusted to get it right, but it really doesn't matter. Overall I would recommend this product but don't expect quick results.
